COVID-19 Visitor Access Information for Our Homes in NSW and WA

As the COVID-19 pandemic is constantly evolving we ask that you please check the details below for your state or contact your home directly before visiting.

We continue to work hard to protect our residents and staff from COVID-19.

Western Australia

Western Australia now has a controlled border with most states and territories in response to COVID-19.

Any visitors or staff who have been in Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland must adhere to WA government directions.

Any person who has recently been in Victoria and is subject to any WA Government directions to get a COVID-19 test or self-quarantine must not enter our homes until they have completed their quarantine period.

Visitors who have been in Queensland and who have been to an exposure site during the relevant times are required to get tested and self-quarantine for 14 days from their date of exposure.

Any visitors who have been in NSW recently, must also check the list of COVID-19 hotspots before entering our homes.

Masks are not currently required for staff or visitors in WA.

All staff and visitors must follow all COVID-19 protocols, including entry screening, hand hygiene and social distancing.

As of 31 May 2021, it is mandatory for all visitors and staff entering our homes in WA to have evidence of a 2021 influenza vaccination (or a documented medical contraindication).

There are limited short-term exemptions for people who are unable to receive their influenza vaccination during a COVID vaccine exclusion period.

Please do not visit if you are unwell.

New South Wales

Due to COVID-19 cases in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney and Western NSW, all staff and visitors to our Vaucluse Aged Care Home must now wear masks until further notice.

We also ask that you check COVID-19 hotspots in Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland before entering our homes.

All staff and visitors must follow COVID-19 protocols, including entry screening, hand hygiene and social distancing.

NSW Health have also now advised that from June 1, 2021, all visitors and staff in residential aged care homes will be required to have a 2021 influenza vaccination and proof of it to gain entry.

Please do not visit if you are unwell.

Visitors will also be excluded from our homes if:

• they have someone who is self isolating at home/in their family.
• they have any COVID-19 symptoms including fever (37. 5°C or higher).

We will continue to keep you up-to-date with any changes.
