International Women’s Day 2026
Across our homes, the dedication and leadership of women are central to the care and support we provide every day. Their compassion, professionalism and commitment shape the culture of aged care and make a lasting difference to the lives of residents and families.
To mark International Women’s Day, we asked some of our team members how being women influences the way they approach their roles. The responses were powerful – highlighting empathy, nurturing and compassionate care as the values that guide their work. For many, aged care is more than a profession; it is a vocation built on human connection.
Thank you to the wonderful teams at Georges Estate in Penshurst, NSW and Braemar Cooinda in Perth, WA who shared their reflections in this video and who continue to demonstrate the impact that dedicated, values-driven care can have in our communities.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give To Gain,” reminds us that progress towards gender equality requires collective action from governments, organisations and individuals alike.
Today we celebrate the women across Hall & Prior and throughout the aged care sector whose work strengthens our communities every day.
