Acclaimed mother and daughter artists Ann and Sophie Cape are currently exhibiting works featuring Glenwood Aged Care Home residents. The collection of artwork, which includes portraits and abstract work, is on display at Mosman Art Gallery and explores dementia and its impacts within the community.
Glenwood residents Elisabeth, David, Madie, Thomas and Nolene were featured in life drawings in the series. Glenwood staff members accompanied Nolene’s husband Greg along to the gallery to view the amazing work.
The exhibition, An Unending Shadow, aims encourage dialogue about the impacts of dementia and will be on display until November 29. Ann Cape has previously won the renowned Archibald Prize twice and has an impressive body of work so we feel thankful to have been able to host her at the home and assist with her work.
