Concorde residents enjoy traditional Asian feast

Residents at Concorde Aged Care Home get to enjoy a delicious traditional Asian meal each month, thanks to a local Chinese restaurant.

The South Perth home has a large cluster of culturally and linguistically diverse residents, so each month the staff set up a special area in the home to give it a restaurant-type feel and serve the food in Asian-style crockery.

The most recent feast included tea, soup, vegetables, tofu, a rice dish and soft noodles.

Concorde personal carer Swee Hong said the residents always enjoyed the special monthly treat. “It’s great that we can set up a cosy area for them and put on traditional music while they eat,” she said.
