Bad weather couldn’t stop the Australia Day celebrations at Hall & Prior’s homes this week.

In the spirit of all things ‘Aussie’ barbecues went on regardless of the rain at Windsor Park, Belmont,  Concorde and Kensington Park.

Belmont residents Anita and Charles Lemos said the burgers were a welcome treat.

“It’s good to celebrate our country,” Charles said.

Staff at the homes cooked a range of burgers for residents, complete with all the trimmings.

Residents then enjoyed them while watching the Australian Open on television.
