International Women's Day 2021

undefined

Happy International Women’s Day!

We are incredibly blessed at Hall & Prior to work with an inspiring group of women who don’t just go above and beyond every day to care for our residents, they also care for one another.

We are an organisation that has many women in leadership roles and we are supported by our CEO Graeme Prior, who understands and supports women, fully endorsing IWD.

Hall & Prior also actively encourages women who aspire to further their careers and reach their full potential.

This year’s theme #ChoosetoChallenge, acknowledges the strength of women around the world in the campaign for gender equality. It encourages women to speak up and find their voice, and it encourages men to support them in that endeavour.

"Here's to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them."

From challenge comes change, but the rise of women is not about the fall of men, everyone has a role to play in forging gender parity. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.

IWD provides an important moment to showcase our commitment to women's equality, celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness and challenge gender stereotypes.

We are both constantly inspired by the strength, compassion and resilience of our women, which helps us to deliver exceptional care to some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

At Hall & Prior we strongly believe in treating all people equally; regardless of gender or race, and showing love, mercy and care to those around us, not just today, but every day.

Throughout our staff in WA and NSW, 82.3 percent of them are women. Whether they are members of our clinical, care, hospitality or administration teams, the work these women do every day improves the lives of those in our care.

We encourage you all to use today as a chance to thank the women in your life for their vitally important roles; whether they are your mothers, grandmothers, partners, daughters, relatives, colleagues or friends; a small thank you for all that they do can mean the world.

We look forward to celebrating the amazing women in our organisation today and hope you’ll join us in recognising this significant day.

With kindness,

Jennifer Grieve and Kris Healy
General Manager Health & Care Services and General Manager NSW
