An Easter Message from our CEO Graeme Prior
As we head into the Easter break, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my staff for the successful start we have had to 2021.
We have worked hard to provide the highest quality of care to some of society's most vulnerable people; even more so over the past 12 months as we have faced the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 in our sector.
For the Christian Faith, Easter marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, beginning on Good Friday. His death on the cross symbolises the world existing in a state of darkness, where persecution and hatred created turmoil among people.
On Easter Sunday, we consider the lessons that come from the tale of Jesus rising from the dead. The dawn of a new day showed that there is always hope. So to me, Easter represents hope for humanity and faith in the greater good of humankind.
This holy week, the last week of Jesus' earthly service to humanity is essential to Christianity.
Throughout Hall & Prior, our diverse staff and residents come from many different faiths and backgrounds. With Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu and many other faiths making up our world-class care team. People, just like Jesus Christ, who are dedicated to love, mercy and care.
Although not everyone celebrates Easter, the message about treating others with kindness and compassion is appropriate for us all.
Hall & Prior's motto is "Compassionate People, Dedicated to Care" and we live by this mantra every day.
I encourage you all to spend time with your loved-ones this Easter if you can and reflect on the good in life. And I thank those of you working at our homes this long weekend.
From my family to yours, we wish you a very happy Easter, filled with peace and love.
